Das spektakuläre Bühnendesign von Jerry P. Appelt war an der Optik einer Großstadtskyline angelehnt. Rund 600 Tonnen Stahl wurden auf der Formel-1-Strecke am Hockenheimring von bis zu 90 Stageco-Mitarbeitern in Tag- und Nachtschichten verbaut. 35 Trailer Material waren dafür notwendig. Auf der 85 m breiten und 2.500 m² großen Bühnenfläche verteilten sich neun bis zu 26 m hohe Wolkenkratzer, zwei riesige LED-Portale und das zentrale Bühnenset unter dem transparent verplanten Stageco-Bandroof. Ein cirka 50 m langer Laufsteg verband die Hauptbühne mit einer B-Stage mitten im Publikum, in der auch die komplette FOH-Regie untergebracht war. Im weiteren Umfeld komplettierten fünf 20 m hohe Freestanding Tower für Licht, Spots und Delay-PA sowie LED Supports das Setup. @Fotos Saskia Gaulke
The stage design by Jerry P. Appelt set up a city-skyline up to 28 m height and 85 m width. From the very beginning a close cooperation with Stageco Deutschland led to a 600-ton-steel-construction with plenty of specials which was able to accomodate all the LED screens, lights and sound. In the field in front of the stage a setup of five special 20m freestanding Delay-PA and lighttowers and additional scaffolding LED-supports to comfort the audience completed the installation of structures. A Stageco crew of more than 90 workers erected the stage within four days in day- and nightshifts based on a very tough time schedule. @Fotos Saskia Gaulke
